This hotel is reasonably priced, the staff is very considerate. The hotel is older than some but they keep it clean and it is just up the street from the furniture mart. Groups of people blocking the outside doors cussing and smoking. Had to go through a cloud of smoke just to get in. Rooms were clean and priced right but the neighborhood ws less than safe.

and I will also tell all my friends and business associates not to. Hotel was nice but my family had to walk through a door and hallway that was full of wife-swappers. It seems that they host "swinging" parties there and these people apparently have no respect for anyone including themselves. They leave their doors open and apparebntly think that it's okay for children to be exposed to this.
Will not ever return.

We have had two very bad experiences here. There are several better hotels around I-40 and L-R Blvd. I'd keep driving if this property had the only rooms in Hickory.
