A perfect hotel for a group of architecture students. Very awesome views from the large picture windows in the rooms. Beds were very comfortable and the decore was very in touch with a hotel of its price. There was a restaurant on the first floor but they did not offer any meals to people who stayed there.
The Kimpton Hotels are wonderful. Construction on State St. made it a bit difficult to get to, but follow the signs and the street crew will let you through the barricades. Construction is happening across the street from the hotel, ALL NIGHT LONG - including weekends. The hotel is just as good as all the other reviewers point out - but get a guarantee that you'll be on the top few floors before you go. Earplugs were not enough to keep out the noise of jack hammers, men shouting, cranes, and trucks. The construction will be going on until 2009.
Excellent architecture, excellent staff, excellent soft bed, excellent complimentary bottle of champagne they gave my wife and I for our anniversary, excellent location, excellent cafe for breakfast. I look forward to returning!
