I have stayed here on two different occasions. The first time was a trip with my family during spring break in 2004. We had a great time. Wow, this was a trashy hotel!

Pros: We stayed in a Tropical Suite, and the inside of the condo was pretty nice. The minibar was way overpriced, however, and there was a little bit of a bug problem.

Cons: The pictures and marketing done for this hotel is so misleading. It is a very ugly area with lots of concrete. There are very few amenities. The pool is pretty boring, ...

Is true, the view is great and you can enjoy of beautiful Sunset but, the staff gives to the clients a very bad impression. Is a shame because the hotel is nice but cause of that I will never return.

got ripped on room charges

View was awesome!
Watch out for bar tabs and minibar items being
charged to the room. Food is great! Bartenders are beautiful and so kind.
Will not return due to room charges though.

Right by everything in Tamarindo. Great for taking surf trips. Right by the beach and awesome veiw of the waves right from your hotel window.

Nice hotel, horrible staff

Not a bad hotel but we were kicked out after one night as a result of a reservation mix-up. They were very rude, scratched out their copy of our reciept and then lied about it.

I would avoid this place.

My husband and I honeymooned here during May and we loved every minute of it. The hotel Vista Villas was definitely the best in the area from what we could see. We had a beautiful room that overlooked the beach and our stay was heavenly. The hotel was clean and the staff was super friendly. We are already planning a second trip soon and , of course, we will stay at the Tamarindo Vista Villas.
