This hotel just opened on October 8th. Used to be a Sleep Inn that was lost in Katrina. Different from any other HI Express I have ever seen. The views of the Gulf from this 6th story hotel are great.
I stayed at this motel several times, but have not in recent years, since it was DESTROYED in Hurricane Katrina in August, 2005! This web site needs updating!
If you need to get sleep, don't stay here. Hotel is 2x4 constructiona and you can hear through the walls. If you have a floor above you,, you will be pounded to fdeath by the noise above. Entire Hotel needs a lot of TLC. Rottening wood. Doors going outside from right hall, needs to just scrub dirt from handle. Carpets stained badly in elevater, need to clean all carpets for traffic stains. Comforter for one bed in a non-somking room had two large (1" to 2"), burnt holes.
