    dramatic view of the crater,thousands of flamingos on the lake. Awesome panorama. the service was professional,rooms was big. meals was excellent, a very luxurious lodge.

  • What Water?

    Our group of 18 in 9 rooms experienced either NO hot water or water that was filled with red mud - during a 2 day stay in September of 2007. The Crater was terrific - but SOPA was the worst!

    Any time I am ready to go back to this hotel.I have visited Ngorongoro more than once but I am willing to go back, particularly if my hotel would be the Sopa. It is a great place, helpful and friendly staff in a great location.

    The hotel staff was very professional, kind, and helpful. The food in the resturant was really good too. Our room was fantastic and had this incredible view complete with rocking chairs! The beds were comfortable, and large, and the bathroom was spacious and clean as well.
    The central part of the lodge has a pool, and offers a breathtaking view ...
