The James Street Inn offers a nice view of the river. When we stayed there the river was filled with pelicans which was a cool surprise. The room was spacious and clean. The whirlpool looked nice but there was a serious problem....brown sludge came out of the faucet. We tried running the water for some time but this problem never went away. ...
This is a nice, homey place to stay. We've noticed as we've been going there for a few years, that the rooms are beginning to look a bit run down. If you're going in the spring or summer, try to stay on the bottom floors where you'll have your own deck with the river running underneath. Very cool.

We loved the free wine & cheese and the very "homey" neighborhhod. The rooms were beautiful.
