I like the location of this Hotel to Grand Canyons, very close. Hotel has basic ammenities pool, internet, and spacious parking.
What we were not expecting is the room we stayed in had bed bugs on the beds we occupied. We even have a baby with us. So as a word of advice always check the bed before jumping in for a cozy sleep.

  • Not worth the money
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/05/07
We stayed there for 2 nights in May. First, it is WAY overpriced. The rooms are dark and somewhat depressing. The doors did not seem that secure. They don't have a restaurant and there's not a decent place to eat anywhere near it. The plumbing is very noisy and the walls are paper thin.
Overall, we would not stay there again. We didn't ...

  • Very nice and clean.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/09/07
The hotel is nice, quiet and clean. Breakfast is good cereal, hot coffee, toast, bagels, hard boiled eggs and cinnamon rolls, some fruit and biscuits and gravy....ah! Is NOT walking distance to the park but near. I would stay there again. Although tried to go to the pool or jacuzzi but, too many kids...

  • A Kitchen without utensils!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/07
We rented the "Kids Suite" so that my grand children could have a fun time. The kitchen had nothing.. not even a spoon, fork, glass, cup or dish! No cooking utensils.. nothing! The desk said they only furnish the kitchen in the Governor's Suite!

The room was cold. We turned on the heat and asked for more blankets as there was ...

  • They took care of me!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/06
The hotel is about a mile from the entrance to the Grand Canyon. There are many stores, restaurants and other hotels within walking distance.
It is the standard HI Express, except they have suites in a building across the street. I got my room using points an I was suprised to find they put me in a suite! The suite had a seperate living/kitchenette and the bedroom have a really nice balconey. The hotels also had an indoor pool and spa.

I'd highly reccomend the Holiday Inn Express if you are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon. Great location, minutes from the entrance to the Canyon. $25. gets you a 7 day park entrance pass. McDonalds across the street and Wendy's a few doors down. Also a few doors down there is a Best Western that has an arcade and bowling alley so the ...

  • you feel like you wasted half your money
    By Yoshi, 07/31/06
i felt like our whole trip to the grand canyon was dulled by the hotel experience, if i would have been with great friends that could come up with fun stuff to do it would have been horrrible, amenities were lacking, rooms were sparse, just felt like the hotel was way overpriced even for it's location, even between the two rooms we rented oen ...

  • Go elsewhere
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/06
THis is the worst Holiday Inn Express I've stayed in. The Spa was a swimming pool that would accommodate 15 but was brimming with 25 or more people when it was open. Though it was advertised as having a workout room, there was none. The food at the breakfast bar was fly-infested and fourth-rate, even with low expectations. There is no express ...

  • Average hotel in good location !
    By Nilesh Dosooye, 06/05/06
The hotel is about 1 mile from the grand canyon park entrance to the South Rim. great location. Hotel itself was average. rooms were very spacious though. Breaskfast was very good - lots of fruits, pastries, scrambled and boiled eggs, biscuit and gravy, cereals etc.. Pool was very small and jacuzzi not too clean. Price is a little expensive for what you get, but I guess you pay for the location.
