My own stay for two weekend nights at the Days Inn went off wonderfully. To begin, there was a mixup in my reservation, and the desk manager got me a room even though he didn't show me on the reservation list. He even gave me the price I quoted him, lower than their own rates. The front desk cheerfully gave me directions and helped me in any ...

My husband and I were on vacation in Arizona when we decided to swing by Los Angeles so I, a lifelong Marilyn Monroe fan could see her final resting place. We were lucky to get this room as all the other motels in Santa Monica had no vacancy, save a couple of the seedy ones. We paid 177.00, more than I ever thought I'd pay for a Days Inn room! ...
I travel often and stay in many many different hotels and this one is by far the WORST!!!! We came to L.A. for my brother's wedding the weekend of the 4th of July. My family + friends stayed at the Days Inn, Santa Monica (8 people total.)When we arrived, the check in was not efficient, and NOT fast. We went to our room and then came back to the lobby and other's in our party were still checking in. Most of the staff were ...
I walked into the room only to smell a nasty smokey stale odor. I checked out the bathroom only to found mold and mildrew all around the tile and bathtub. I requested another room and I was told none were available and I was still charged $107.73. But that is going to change. Please be very careful about this place. Thanks a nasty memory for my first visit to California. Straight up from Chicago.

POOR!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/05
I booked a reservation online for $103 at the Days Inn at Santa Monica. However, the manager changed it to $129. He said that the rates quoted initially "do not matter because they go high during August". Also, cockroaches in the rooms. NOT GOOD!

Very Nice Place to Stay

We liked the location of the hotel to the beach and surrounding sites in Santa Monica. It was quiet and clean and the staff was very friendly.

Good choice.

This was a good option. Comparatively worth the money for a simple stay, and needing access to Santa Monica and West LA. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet enough. Street side window well sound-proofed. Better than many "inexpensive" hotels.
