Staff not friendly, rooms not very clean and kind of smelly. The only positive aspect is the location. I wouldn't go back there.

I walked into the room only to smell a nasty smokey stale odor. I checked out the bathroom only to found mold and mildrew all around the tile and bathtub. I requested another room and I was told none were available and I was still charged $107.73. But that is going to change. Please be very careful about this place.

I booked a reservation online for $103 at the Days Inn at Santa Monica. However, the manager changed it to $129. He said that the rates quoted initially "do not matter because they go high during August". Also, cockroaches in the rooms. NOT GOOD!

We liked the location of the hotel to the beach and surrounding sites in Santa Monica. It was quiet and clean and the staff was very friendly.
