Our children gave us a gift certificate to this lovely boutique inn. Our innkeepers, Scott and Karen, couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. Scott helped us make the most of our time in Wilmington with suggestions of restaurants, favorite beach spots and the most wonderful waking tour. Our room was very lovely with chocolates on ...

Can't wait to go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 05/02/08
My husband and I were in town for a week to celebrate my grandmother's 95th birthday. After doing our research, we decided to try out Taylor House Inn. I had high expectations, but they blew them out of the water. We had flight delays and issues getting to town from Milwaukee, but Scott was accommodating and met us at the door when we arrived. ...

Pleasant Stay
By Angela, 04/29/08
We have stayed at several B&B's in the last 7 years. This ties #1 with another one (Colorado) for food. The breakfasts were fantastic! We stayed 3 nights. The bed was very comfortable. The room clean and made up everyday when we returned. We loved that they had coffee and hot tea upstairs (in the hall) every morning at 8 am. They keep a ...

Superb!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/21/08
We loved everything. The host, Scoot was great, very funny and helpful. This is the cleanest B&B we have ever stayed at. We could actually go barefoot in our room and the hall and on hardwood floors and never feel any dirt, that is saying something. For those that have posted negative comments, I believe that people seem to think that when ...

Stay FAR away
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 02/25/08
My first experience at a bed and breakfast ever and it was not at all what I expected--the innkeeper, Scott, was one of the rudest and condescending people I have ever met. He had told me if we got in town early to call and they might be able to do an early check-in. We arrived at 2:15 in town, I called and he said he couldn't and could we ...

Wouldn't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 08/05/07
Mattress was so thin, I could feel the coils. very loud/thin walls. On the morning of my checkout, I did not get the breakfast promised because I had to be at a conference at 8:30 (10 minutes away) and innkeeper did not want to have to get up early for me since I was the only one staying there that night/morning.

Beautiful and Convenient

We really had a great weekend at the Taylor House Inn. We were there because we had a wedding to attend on Topsoil Beach and couldn't find any accommodations on the beach that seemed adequate. We decided to drive a bit and stay in Wilmington. We could not have been more satisfied--the hospitality, the friendliness, the accommodations, the ...

The Taylor House Inn Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful getaway. We lucked into this B&B over 10 years ago and have made it a yearly tradition. It almost feels like going home to meet family. Scott and Karen are wonderful innkeepers. Scott is a lively, personable person who is not only helpful in restaurant suggestions but is delightful to ...

We're already booked for another holiday
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/11/06
We were referred to Scott and Karen when another inn in Wilmington at which we had stayed once before was being sold. We have stayed at the Taylor House Inn 7 times, the last time being Memorial Day weekend of 2006. The rooms are lovely and comfortable with antiques and other fine furnishings. The breakfasts are fabulous with warm, fresh baked ...

They call themselves "hosts"
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 08/14/06
I agree with another review I read...the most inhospitable "hosts" you can imagine. Everthing we asked for seemed to be a hassle. You go to a B&B to be pampered...not to be a disposable pamper.
