A fair amount of visual dis-repair (chipped paint, scratched furniture, etc).
We had to ask for 2 burnt-out bulbs in the bathroom to be replaced. I was given the bulbs (taken from another room) and had to install them myself.

We stayed here for the price but regret doing so. The pictures on the website of the rooms are nothing like what the rooms really look like. Ours was spacious and pretty clean, but very bare. We were told about this place by some friends who stopped here. We were not disappointed. The beds were comfortable, and clean. The towels were thick and new looking. My son got marriage and give us two weeks notice, we need a room for one night and no problem, the rate was great,the service and the office was great, the next morning brackfest was great,we would be back nexttime we came to capitola. The only problem was they were still under const. and are toilet ran all night.

The location was great - set away from a busy street and away from freeway noise, but easy access to Highway 1, and close to the beach. I prefer their location over the traffic and crowds of Santa Cruz.

The staff was friendly, room nice enough - nothing fancy, for a good rate. Breakfast area nice.

The pool was heated.
