I cannot understand the negative reviews. I was a guest for one week and found the manager, a pleasant woman, to be accomodating and informative. She went out of her way to make my visiting family comfortable.

The only thing I liked was the pool. But the so-called nite manager was very stuck up and rude. She had no class, and a very foul mouth.

Very pleasant friendly staff, rooms are quiet, clean, and pretty big. A 5 minute walk to the beach. A 12 minute walk to funky downtown Encinitas & the La Paloma Theater.
You can get excellent fish tacos around the corner from the Lodge. I stay there every September and am never disappointed. If you want a low-key restful So.Calif. beachtown experience, this place is for you.
