Well kept secret!We were in town for a funeral in September, 2008 and were very happy to find this place. The owners are wonderful and friendly. We stayed in the room with a kitchen and loved it. Friendly people clean rooms and a pretty viewMy family stayed here while we were in Rumford for a gymnastics meet.
We had a very pleasant stay. The woman at the counter was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The view of the river and mountains behind the motel was very nice.

Go here often!We have family that live in Maine and we travel there, from Indiana, about 3 times a year. We found the Blue Iris 2 years ago and wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else now. The owners are wonderful people and their Hotel is the best! It's the most comfortable,and cleanest, place we have found to stay. A nice motel in a beautiful areaFew sites are prettier than the Western Mountains of Maine, and the Blue Iris Motor Inn is a great place to stay in this area. I have always been pleased with the clean, comfortable rooms and relaxing surroundings at this motel. Nearby activities range from wonderful hikes and skiing to quaint shops and restaurants. Nice place to stop on way from Acadia to White MountainsIn the summer of 2001, we had been to Acadia National Park in Maine and were looking for accomodation for the night on our way to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. This affordable motel on Rt 2, very close to the NH stateline, has a very beautiful location on the banks of a river.
