The Maui Sunseeker is located in an ideal spot. Its in Kihei which is about a 10 minute drive from Little Beach, the clothing optional gay and lesbian beach in Makena. Its a small resort with only 17 rooms but they are impecably clean and comfortable. All of the rooms (except for room 12) have private lanais and the ones in the front buildings ...
Loved the Maui Sunseeker. Rooms are priced at great rates and the staff is so attentive and caring. While tourism is down everywhere, the new owners of the Maui Sunseeker seem to be doing something right as the place was full of nice guests, attractive clientele and just a generally good spirit. Right on the beach in Kihei its a beautiful place ...
In strict terms, The Sunseeker is neither “Gay” nor a “Resort”. The legal definition of “Resort” is a hotel in a resort area. To meet the legal definition of a hotel an accommodation MUST have a restaurant or dining room for guests to purchase meals and as this does not exist at the Sunseeker, it is not a hotel nor a resort but actually a Motel ...
The room had the necessary ammenities and a feeling of comfort for a nice stay. The clothing optional roof with spa and on-call massage therapists was also very nice. There is a garden and gazebo on the lower level and the staff is friendly. This is the only gay option on the island so its good that its an enjoyable place to stay.
This place was a disapointment. It's very noisy on a busy highway. There is no swimming pool and there aren't many places to eat nearby. You have to drive to the other side of the island to find a decent restaurant. The staff could have been friendlier.
