roach carcass in blanket--enough said

My friend and I found a roach carcass smooshed into the blanket when we stayed in this hotel on August 3, 2005. After we asked that the bedclothes be changed, they failed to do so! Thus late at night, when we returned after dinner to find the bed untouched and the roach still there, we decided to seek a room elsewhere. Braving the dark parking lot ...

location is great. old hotel. not the cleanest, but pretty good. pool is nice.
owner is nice. dont depend on a wake up call--they will mess it up.

the cleanlyness of the place was just bad, the headboard of the bed was nailed to the wall, the bathrooms had spiders, and the outdoor pool was swampy, but i guess for the price i shouldnt complain right? the service of the maids and what not were good but the guy at the front desk was trying to be a hussler... so if you want cheap and dirty here is the way to go.
