Scariest Hotel Experience Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/08
I stayed at the Mason Beach Inn in July. The hotel's location is great. Unfortunately, the night clerk, during out stay was extremely rude and nasty to my family and I. The 1st night we were there my toliet overflowed, the night clerk told me to "plunge it myself because he was busy". The next night the maids took all ...

Great place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/07
Loved how close this place was to everything! We could easily walk to where ever we were wanting to go, or it was a short drive to those places as well. We ended up staying 2 extra nights.
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Over Priced

The only good thing was the location. The rooms need to be updated and they were not very clean. For the price they are charging I expected more. I would not stay here again.

relaxing vacation

Loved how quiet and quaint this hotel is. Walking distance to great restaurants and the beach.
Wireless access, small friendly pool, nice people on a quiet street off main street.
Santa Barbara at its best.

Love this place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/06
Staff was so sweet, it was like staying with family. Stayed 9 days over New Year's last year and going again this year. Fresh fruit bowl in lobby was a nice touch. We are a family and it was never noisy or chaotic.
Checked prices and availability for a stay in July this year and had to opt for another hotel in town. But that was high season, so now we know.
We really liked this hotel a lot, and wished we had stayed for more than one night. The location was great: convenient, but quiet. The kids enjoyed the pool and spa, which isn't large but set in a nicely landscaped garden. The rooms were clean and large. Overall we had a great stay and will return in the future.

Don't stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/06
Although the hotel was convienently located near the beach and about 20 minutes walking distance from State street shops & restaurants, I would not recommend this hotel. It is extremely noisy! You hear every footstep, water running in adjacent rooms, doors slamming, etc. We had one of our bikes stolen from the hotel parking lot (even though the ...
