I loved the fact that there was no rush to do anything. It was very relaxing and the views of the volcano from the lodge were amazing. The horseback ride up the volcano was long but well worth it! The people are warm and welcoming. It's perfect for a quite, relaxing weekend!!

This hotel is nested between the Irazu and Turrialba volcanoes - that makes for a great setting. After a long drive up to the location we found ourselves facing rather rustic facilities, overpriced meals and substandard service. How can they do that? They are the only hotel miles around. Oh, during my visit they wanted to charge me $5 for a local ...
