GREAT place to stay in Santa Barbara! Clean, quiet, cozy, great amenities, close to everything [beach, marina, in-town shuttle (if you don't want to walk), Amtrak station, restaurants, etc], and friendly staff. Check them out; you'll be pleased with staying here.
Cute iron look to it! Nicely decorated and located in a peaceful area. It's not on the main road like many others. Nice staff, great confortable queen size bed with a double headed shower. Woo hoo! Plus you have open access windows in the bedroom and bathroom. I don't see that very much in other hotels. Descent BF with a patio to eat on. ...
The studios are charming and are equipped with full kitchens, great for extended stays, however the heating system failed several times and it gets quite chilly in the winter. Close to the beach and pier, right off cabrillo blvd.

keep coming back!

I travel to Santa Barbara regularly for business and pleasure and always try to stay at the Eagle Inn.
Outstanding value and location, it's near all SB amenities (main shopping/restaurant district of State St, beach, marina, pier, train station) in a quiet neighborhood setting. Each room is refreshingly unique with no corporate chain feel. ...

Too Small and Noisy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/05
Was not happy with our stay. Room was not comfortable. Too small and cramped. Floors creaked above us, when people walked around. Plumbing did not work well and was noisy when flushed from above us.

We stayed in a regular Queen room with no fireplace or whirlpool.I'd say it would be a good place to stay if you just needed somewhere to sleep while staying in Santa Barbara and you weren't trying to make your accomodations part of your vacation experiences but the price is too high for that. The continental breakfast was the worst I ever ...

Eagle Inn is a KEEPER!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/05
I came from Kauai to visit my son who is attending SBCC. Initially the room was booked for two days, but after arriving, I felt so at home I added days to stay the entire trip! Room was comfortably decorated and perfect for my family. We had a great visit... had family dinners cooked in the room's kitchen. I even managed home cooked meals for ...

Think I'll pass next time.

The rooms are beautiful, bed comfortable, jacuzzi tub nice to soak in. However, before coming I called ahead to make sure it would be all right if I paid in cash instead of with my credit card. I was assured this was not a problem. When I arrived, the receptionist kept insisting on my credit card. I told her I had made arrangements to pay cash. ...

Very good value!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/09/05
The room was clean, spacious and cute. It had a fireplace, but it only worked the first day. The veranda was the best! The bathroom was small but functional. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and pier, but not to upper State street where all the action is.

Enjoyed our Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/04
We stayed at the Eagle Inn in August and had comfortable accomodation. We were given a free upgrade to a room with a large Jacuzzi tub because their regular king rooms were all reserved. It was one of the nicest hotel rooms we have stayed in. The location was excellent, near the beach and a few minutes walk to the great shopping street. The breakfast was included in the price, which made it an even better deal. We definately recommend it.
