What I like about this place is that the rate is very reasonable and it covers all: breakfast, parking and internet service. The room I stayed is very nice. There is no elevator. You need to walk the stairs, but it is only three stories, a good exercise. I like to take the bus or subway T to go from point A to point B.
5 mins walking to Porter Square. I lived in the townhouse, which is very nice . While, these rooms have been upgraded. The room I lived in still has a little bit smell, but it is totally understandable. Perfect location, perfect service. I strongly recommend it!
If you make a reservation be sure you get into the main house. The "carriage house" or "townhouse" are sub par. I stayed for two nights in the main house, which is cozy. Then I had to leave overnight for the Cape and returned to be placed in a large, cold, smelly room in the "townhouse." The power kept going out. ...

It was a nice cute Victorian Setting. But... a B&B to us serves a HOT breakfast. They served the same exact things every day. Which was a buffet setting with a choice of cold cereal, stale "tough" pastries, fruit consisting of grapes or banana, hard boiled egg, muffins, or you could tear open a package & mix some oatmeal. Deceptive Website

We made reservations at A Cambridge Inn based on the charming website description. While the price was a bit high, we rationalized that the Victorian atmosphere justified the cost. Harvard University parent

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at A Cambridge House. It is a tastefully decorated guesthouse with private bath and cable TV. Walk to Porter Square T stop and restaurants. The spacious sitting room makes it ideal to relax and socialize. We paid a rate of $169.00 a real bargain given the amenities such as breakfast, parking and high speed internet near Harvard University!
