Terribly disappointing. Service was very slow. Food very overpriced for the quality and quantity of what you received. The atmosphere was beautiful, but with what you pay for the meals you would think they could have at least something better than plastic chairs to sit and dine on. A bit tacky as far as we were concerned. Will not be visiting again in this lifetime.
My first meal here was cold and awful. As if they'd simply opened a cold jar of Ragu and dumped it on the limp, overboiled pasta. It wasn't even heated enough to melt the shredded parmesan cheese (also from a plastic container.) But the view of the raging river from the dining deck is so spectacular, I had to take my dad there this year. ...
Not only is the food and atmosphere good, but the owners and people that work there make you feel very welcome. Try their bloody mary's, they make there own mix!!!!

We stayed in Cabin 6 last night, advertised as a "honeymoon suite" with a private sauna. The sauna did not work, sink drained slowly. There was a tiny, dirty shower stall with barely enough room for one person. No tub, a broken lid was propped on top of the toilet, drawer pulls dangled from the bathroom cabinet. The room felt more like ...
That was the fisrt thing out of the owners mouth ( In front of his other guests) as my boyfriend, a friend and I walked outside to have a smoke. Not thank you for coming or hope you enjoyed yourself, but an accusation of whether we were ripping him off. If anyone got ripped off it was us. The food was late, service slow, and the owner was less ...
Unbelievable, when you least expect to find a truly great restaurant in the middle of nowhere, just try driving Hwy 198 east of Visalia and just before the entrance to Sequoia National Park we stumbled into The Gateway Restaurant and Lodge. We were greeted at friends, had some great drinks at the bar and then had dinner out on their river patio. ...
The location and setting of the restaurant was very nice. The scenery as you looked out the window was beautiful as you hear the peaceful sounds of the water running throught the rocks. As for the food, the quality and quantity of the food was ridicoulously over priced. Let's start off with the child's milk that I ordered: Their version of ...
Best thing - close to the park entrance. But if you like having your room made up, clean towels, clocks that are set to the correct time, lights plugged in... you get the idea. The management was completely unresponsive to requests for service - and you have to walk into the bar to make a request because there are no phones in the rooms and no cell service in Three Rivers.
Up side - no need to leave a tip for housekeeping.
