During a four state road trip, my wife and I experienced a pretty wide sample of motels, and this was one of the best, in terms of cleanliness and service. The place is well kept up, and everything worked the way it's supposed to. In all the ways that mattered to us, it beat the heck out of the competition, and you can't beat the price. Give it a try, if you're passing through.

I stopped at the Emporia Budget Host Inn at about Midnight and had quick and courteous service. I left the next morning around 9:30am and had no problems with cleanliness, ect.

The location was great, if you wanted out of the way. For me, I was looking for a clean room and a friendly staff. I ended up staying there for a week on business, and if I ever come back, I'll be booking this hotel again!

I've stayed here several times and each time is very pleasant. Even the beer-drinking truckers turn in early, so it's pretty quiet at night. The family that owns it is very friendly and helpful. Nice small family-run place!

At first sight, I thought I had made a mistake, by booking a reservation. Then to my surprise, the room was nice, clean and big. The fridge and microwave were nice, and the T.V. could have been bigger(20 inch), but the service was excellent, and teh price was even better.
