Excellent Resort, But Be A Bit CautiousI need to get My ONLY complaint with this resort - actually quite a major one - out of the way first. Despite the cleanliness of the room in general, I discovered after using one of my paper/styrofoam that the next cup in my stack was previously used as evidenced by the stains of grapejuice. Goin Back Again!We had a great time at the Riverside Resort. We went in February last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was great, our pool was big and roomy, the laundry facilities were spaceous, and the commisary was more than adequate. We liked the pasta the best! Go, you'll like it!3 of 3 Yahoo! One of Disney's best valuesWe stayed at this hotel for one night before we checked into our villa at Saratoga Springs and I wished we could have stayed longer. The room was clean and comfy and walking around the resort we felt like we were in a beautiful Louisiana bayou. The boat rides, the nature, the cafeteria, the lobby, everything was great. Best WDW Moderate Resort!This place is beautiful and you really feel like you're at one of WDW's Deluxe Resorts. The landscaping is beautiful and the rooms in the Magnolia Bend section have a luxurious decor to them.

Great ExperienceWe stayed a POR from 08/31/08 to 09/05/08. Overall everything was great. If you are using Disney transportation to get to the parks, I would suggest using the North, East, or West depot. We used the South depot one day and had to wait 45 minutes for our bus, that would fit everyone waiting, to Animal Kingdom. The South depot is right outside the ...6 of 6 Yahoo! Would definetely stay again!We just got back from our Disney vacation and were very impressed by the Port Orleans Riverside staff. Our housekeeper was excellent. She had made a washcloth animal for us the first day and after that created various scenes with the stuffed animals we had with us. It was a very good experienceWe like the hotel wich is near a river, more like a lake, and the view is so beautifull. Just arriving my kids were excited to play in the arcade games in the lobby. Down Home Country GoodnessMy family and I stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside because of our party size. POR is one of the only hotels that can accomodate a party of five. Thinking that we were being forced to stay where we didn't want to (we were looking for the economy rates) we weren't expecting what we got. Housekeeper was wonderfulMy family waited and anticipated a fun week of disney. Day one was great. Day two my daughter and I were sick from too much sun.. dont forget to apply LOTS of sunscreen! Excellent hotelWe stayed at Riverside in early March and loved it! The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and housekeeping always did a great job. I love the restaurants there and the general store. My boys loved the Old man island pool and I really liked the river that ran thru the hotel especially since the ferry could take us to Downtown Disney.
