i liked the very care the hotel's staff gave us during our stay.
the reception as well did their best, suggesting going to nice places in madrid and readinig our needs just through eyes.
we enjoyed the wine as well.

staying at Villa Real was a very pleasant experience ,because we enjoyed the location of this hotel ,the efficiency of the service ,thefriendly welcome of the staff and the luxury of the confortable room .

The Hotel is located across the road from the Prada and 10 minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor. Would recommend it just for that. But the hotel is slightly run down, needs major refurbishment (my room door would not lock, therefore the key was useless and the door opened with just a shove). Don't ask the concierge for directions to the nearest restaurant, he does not know of any! service was very poor. Pricey for what it is.

The doorman who greets you, the clerk who checks you in and the concierge need to receive better training in how to handle consumers. The doorman doesn't get cab doors, etc. and you'd think he would as this hotel has automatic doors.
