I recently stayed at Chelsea's Comfort Inn and found the hotel to be quite nice. The rate was great (esp. considering that it's in NYC). The hotel is old but I found it's antiquity to be charming & comforting. I will go back.
We stayed for 3 nights 4 days. It was a shock how small it was, but I'm from FL and not used to tight spaces. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. They kept our rooms tidy and stocked. Our view outside our window was the Empire State Building! It was beautiful at night. Breakfast was fine for me, they had cereal, donuts, fruit, bagels, ...

Very Pleased

Perfect location for our stay, no problem easily accessing subways to uptown and downtown destinations. Front desk and cleaning staff were great. We stayed at the Barclay-Intercontinental last year for more than twice the cost and this Comfort Inn location was every bit as enjoyable for us. We will return next year.

A bit scary
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/27/07
The central location was fantastic. The hotel was very very old, a bit tattered and shopworn, and the bathroom was downright miniscule. The stairwell, which ...

I did check the sheets and blankents for foreign objects. Ive been to at least a ...

A Great hotel when coming to NY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/06
The hotel's location is great, in a walking distance from all the great attractions the city has to offer. The staff is nice, the hotel room I got was very clean and tidy with a view to the Empire state building. With a reasonable price, I will surely return next time I'm in NY.
If you're looking for a good hotel to act as "homebase" while you eat, view, and shop your way through the city...this is it. It's convenient to the subway and clean enough to not bring about any reasonable complaints. I haven't stayed there since 2003, but I imagine it has stayed relatively unchanged. The staff are really ...
