I will be attending a conference at this hotel and asked about transportation from the airport. I was astounded that a hotel of this class did not provide transportation for guests to and from the airport! When I have a choice I will stay somewhere else!

It was my birthday weekend. The hotel was very clean and decorated nicely. The beds were very plush. This hotel is conveniently located to most everything. Typical downtown hotel. Typical Marriot level of service (allways very good to outstanding). As with all Marriotts, this is now a smoke free hotel. My room was a 'converted' smoking room and the room still had the telltale odor of smoke. If this is a problem for you I would make a special request at check in. Also - daily parking charge is a little high for this market but as I understand it the city is to blame for that.

I recently attended a conference and stayed at the Waterside Marriott in Norfolk, Virginia. I found the hotel to be clean, food was actually very good, and the staff couldn't have been more professional and friendly at the same time. The location is excellent, and I was lucky enough to have a room with a wonderful view!

The TV generally didn't work-I got it going for 15 minutes. The hotel staff got it up and running for an hour or so. I was there for a conference. During a lunch meeting, I had to specifically request silverware from a rather disinterested waiter. An excellent hotel that knows how to cater to the traveling business executive. The rooms and staff are brilliant. The Shullas Steak house is one of the nation's best.

Everyone was so friendly, they really took a personal uinterset in me and my family. These days that is so rare.

This place sparkles it is so clean and dinner in Shulas was a joy.
