the jailhouse inn is a great place to stay on your visit to newport. they are located right in the heart of newport. it's great if you want to experience the nightlife (short walking distance to all the fun npt has to offer) or if you are looking to see the rest of the island. great value and the staff is great, always friendly and willing to help you find thingd todo around town.

We have stayed at the jailhouse inn three years in a row. Their rates are very reasonable, and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and you can't beat the location-you can walk to all the shops.

We discovered the Jailhouse Inn on a road trip from Cape Cod to New York. It was excellant value for money and had been recently refurbished. We stayed for two nights and the rooms were very impressive - of a 4-star quality - the furnishings were tasteful, modern and comfortable and the front desk staff were very obliging. I cannot recommend this place enough.
