Good location, clean room, but too expensive for traveler.

I was NOT impressed at all. We went midweek for three days and got a partial ocean view room. The board members of the Loew's corporation should be proud to know that the Loew's Santa Monica does not have the worst service I've ever experienced in a hotel..it's 2nd only to the Loew's South Beach.

The shareholders of your corporation would be ashamed if they knew how poorly your flagship hotels were run.

It's astonishing both hotels can get away with it just because of location.

The service at this place was so bad that if you saw an employee smile, it meant that it was time to tip them. You are very fortunate to have come upon this review before booking this hotel for your vacation. Don't do it.

Loew's Santa Monica Beach Hotel was a very nice hotel. I was there at a conference so my company paid for it. I would not have wanted to spend the $300+ for a room there out of my pocket!! The room was small and nice but nothing that special. The location was awesome. It was right by the beach and right near the Santa Monica Pier.

The location and customer service were excellent. The rooms were well decorated and kept very clean. (The housekeeping staff also changed the sheets on my baby's crib every day.)
