Got to the hotel late. Was checked in pretty fast and was too tired to notice the state of the hotel untill the next morning. What I found were clean and comfortable. Check out was easy and fast.
I knew when I drove up I was in motel hell. Too late, already booked. Room was stinky, TV was fuzzy at best, and bed was, well I slept on floors more comfortable. The noise level was very high, you know when someone is taking a shower, having romance, or dissagreements. The continental breakfast was the highlight of the stay. Not a good place to relax, trust me.
We stopped at Socorro enroute to Phoenix, and found the hotel a very positive experience. Very clean rooms, very roomy, extra pillows in the room, above-average breakfast, and many nice restaurants in the area. Some of the towns in New Mexico can be a bit rough, so the Super 8 and the entire town of Socorro was a pleasant surprise. We plan to go back this winter and stay for a few days.
Not a bad place place to stay, there is free wireless Internet access and the place is comfortable and convenient. They have at least two nice suites on the ground floor and I liked my suite a lot. The only problem was rusty water coming out of the bathtub faucet. This is my second-choice hotel if the Holiday Inn is booked.
