Had to ask for the sheets to be changed-----bed had been made but dirty sheets! Bugs that could not be identified! Clerk asked us how our stay was--- I said you do not want to know---she said oh!! No excuse for a motel chain.

We checked in to a ground floor room with a non-functional lock on the window leading out to the hill adjacent to the freeway. They offered to give us the room next door, but the room itself was dingy and a little creepy so we opted for a different hotel.

1) The hot tub was run amuck with small children.
2) the headboard in our room 222 was against an outside wall next to the heavy entrance doors which slammed ALL night.
3)The building structure transmitted every noise from people walking to slamming doors.We got little sleep and no time in the hot tub after traveling.We complained to the mgr and got a tepid sorry.For $164 a night(what AAA)discount?!this was terrible.

BEST WESTERN IS A RIP OFF.
WE STAYED AT BEST WESTERN SAT. OCT 28, 2006. THE ROOM WAS WAY TO MUCH MONEY. $179.00 A NIGHT. THE ROOM HAD NO TOWELLS. THE BED HAD STAINS ON THE SHEET. THE COFFEE MAKER AND BLOW DRYER DID NOT WORK. PLUS THE HOT TUB WAS BROKEN. FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WE PAID I EXPECTED A NICE PLACE NOT A DIVE AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF THE FREE BREAKFAST WAS TERRIBLE (CANNED FRUIT COCKATIEL).
TAKE MY ADVICE KEEP ON DRIVING!

If your handicaped the only option you have is the second floor. A three story inn with no elevators. Room had nice window table but only one chair. Room was comfortable and quite.

I stayed at this hotel for the Labor Day weekend. I was quoted $79 a night. Upon check-out, they charged me $407 for three nights. I tried to explain, but the manager, an extremely rude man, said no discounts on a holiday weekend. The pool had too many people in it and the spa was being occupied by little kids.

I would like overall Cleanliness to be better. Great location. This Best Western probably only gets business due to fabulous location in the beautiful Placerville area ,but as soon as other competition comes they will lose due to cleanliness.
