Annoying humming noise in roomsupon entering my room, #1206, a subtle but constant low pitched humming noise was evident. the manager was very helpful, offered us other rooms but unfortunately all had the same noise problem. we used ear plugs and got by. if you are at all sensitive to noisy air-conditioning or electical system humming, you may want to avoid the westin at liberty place in philadelphia.1 of 1 Yahoo! Reputation and High Price Do Not Equal ExcellenceThis hotel did not meet my expectations which I based on Westin's reputation, advertising and high prices. The lobby and cocktail lounge areas are on an upper level with no windows and low lighting, lending to a closed in feel and somber atmosphere. Awesome hotelThe location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.OVERALL

Not a good value. Does not live up to The Westin StandardThe beds were the only similarity to the Westin Chain. I used my points to stay at the Westin for a Weekend wedding. I was disappointed in the cleaniness of the room and the bathroom. Maybe I got the room that had not been renovated since I used my points. I am considering others hotels at this point.2 of 2 Yahoo! Luxurious beds!The Westin Philadelphia has elegant rooms, with marble baths and cherry furniture, very tasteful decor. The service is top-notch, from the valet parking to room service. The Westin may be a bit over-priced, but we don't mind paying extra for quality. The Westin of Dowmn town PlildalpiaI did not like it... I loved it. we were there for a vacation and the roomservice was awsome. 100 out of 10!!! The beds where soft and comfy. luxury hotel for lessthis is one of the jewels of the philadelphia hotel scene. this is the location of the former ritz-carlton hotel, and when they moved to their new location, they left all of their luxurious surroundings behind - intact! the westin only improved it by adding their wonderful beds and showers! i could die and go to heaven. bottom line, all of the luxury of the ritz for half the price! what a deal.You did not find this review helpful.0 of 1 Yahoo! Incomparable!The Rooms are amazing, elegantly appointed & unsurpassed in comfort! The famous Westin Bed lives up to the hype, the marble shower & all those shower heads are luxury in themselves. Best hotel in PhiladelphiaRooms are fairly spacious, quiet, clean, and pretty nicely decorated. Service is excellent, but what else do you expect from a 5 star hotel. Nothing specialThis was not one of the better Westin's I've stayed in. The configuration is a little odd -- the entrance doesn't feed directly into the lobby area (you have to take an elevator to get there). The interior of the hotel looks old and smells musty. There is no swimming pool. The bathroom is TINY!
