Best Damn mexican food in Kansas City. I may be bias seeing as i grew up down the street from them owners family. But I can tell you this it is the most authentic mexican food I have found in the area and has some of the best wait staff and cooks around. You will not find a better tamale anywhere else. I eat there every chance I can and would and have recommend it to anyone who wants good authentic Mexican cuisine.

I loved it!! As a Native Mexican, this is as real as it gets! The whole beans (frijoles de la Hoya) tasted just like my mom's!! I had the shrimp tacos which I fell in love with, especially with the chipotle sauce. The amount of food was perfect, so was the atmosphere and most importantly the service was too!! I will definetly spread the word!!

The best Mexican food you will have in KC. We go there about once a week, sometimes twice a week. I've tried most of the items on the menu and have not had one dissapointing meal. Dislikes- Parking. That one or two chips in the basket that have a funny wang.
Likes-EVERYTHING ELSE. I had the fish tacos- they were wonderfully tasty even if I think they should give out a little more of the chipotle sauce with it. The pork tacos tasted great too- they were a little spicy for the better half.

But OH the salsa was good.

but it's some of the best Mexican food in KC. I love the Flautas Nortenas, with flour tortillas and perfectly spiced chicken. I had the fish tacos which were delicious and one of the best margaritas I have had in this city. The rice is fluffy and light, the beans whipped creamy and smooth. Great spicy salsa. The service and atmosphere was outstanding. This may be my new favorite Mexican restaurant. Try it you'll like it.

Teocali Mexican food was very good. The salsa was excellent. The waitress was extremely helpful and probably one of the best waitresses I've had in KC., and I go out to eat a lot. Keep up the good work

This is definitely a great place to bring the family. Being a father of two little boys it's hard for me and my wife to find a place that is both family oriented and adult friendly. I'm not much of a tequila drinker but they have any tequlia you could possibly think of. I am definitely going back to Teocali but this next time I might leave the kids at home.
