  • Spent many summer there
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/09
Wow, reading this is so sad, I went to Holl's Inn with my family my entire childhood, adolescence, and then I went back with my mom, as an adult. This is a beautiful Adirondack location with quite a history, but is needs a MAJOR renovation, and someone who really knows food and restaurant management. The owner, who I've known almost my ...

  • Meals Look Good BUT
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/08
Going into the kitchen after hours and seeing the mice and spiders all over the place told me to forget the cost, and eat elsewhere even though the meals were paid for with the room package. The rooms were as bad as it gets, and they (the owners) don't even try to paint or repair the place. Perhaps the years of neglect have made trying just too expensive, but I think anyone who even gives this place 1 star is far too generous.

  • Hotel Horror
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/06
This is a beautiful location but dont let the pictures and internet write up fool you like it did us. Rooms were old and bathroom was so bad whether old, stained or just dirty that grandaughter wouldnt take shower there. No TV, air conditioning etc. Didnt get meals only room. I will never reccomend it to anyone or stay there again.
Save your money and stay in Old Forge.

  • Stay away from Holl's Inn
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/05
Holl’s Inn is a disaster. The guest rooms are old and shabby, some with shag carpeting and ceilings in disrepair. Bathrooms can be filthy, with worn linoleum floors and chipped, rusty bathtubs. Bath towels, bed linens and bedspreads are stained and musty. There is no consistent maid service or front-desk help.

The quality of the accommodations ...

  • a beautiful place that needs to be saved!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/05
An old Adirondack Resort Hotel in a beautiful spot
with lots of waterfront and woods. Somehow, the owner, who is nice but not "in touch" with what her guests want, still has not installed tvs, phones, movies, or any entertainment. The food is ok, although the views from the beautiful dining room
made it better...the rooms are something ...

  • Holl's Hell
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/12/05
Rooms were very old, smelled, had spiders in bed and shower. Room was to have 2 dbl beds and 2 single beds which turned out to be a wooden box type frame with a mattress on top of it. About as comfortable as camping on ground. Then the topper was in the middle of the night the bed broke!!.
These rooms haven't been updated in 50 years, old ...

  • Relaxation 101
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/05
Holl's Inn is THE resort on 4th Lake in the Adirondack Mountains! The price quoted here on Yahoo is (unfortunately) per person and for different room style throughout the resort. However, all prices include THREE FULL MEALS per day, and full use of their EXCELLENT waterfront and property!

Relax on the shady dock while reading a good book ...
