  • BEWARE-NOT a B&B any more
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/09
Found out the hard way that this has NOT been a B&B for several years. No breakfast is served, nor is any food or microwave available. Our room, Ann's Parlor, included a coffee maker/coffee, plus a nice little balcony. March, 2009

  • Great little historic vacation
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/08
We loved this Victorian Mansion walking distance to a fantastic bakery, coffee house famers market and local eateries.
The Hotel was clean and has a great innkeeper and historian.
Would love to buy it and stay forever.
It is no longer a B&B.

  • An Excellent Weekend!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/06
This is a very beautiful house with authentic furnishings. We especially enjoyed the private porch connected to our room, Ann's Parlor; and, the spiral staircase is absolutely outstanding!
Originally, we were disappointed that there was no in-room TV available. However, not having such an annoyance fast became a big "plus", ...

  • Pass on this one!
    By Sally, 12/02/05
I guess the "for sale" sign should have been a dead give away as the quality of this inn. For one thing, despite saying so in all the guide books (including my up-to-date AAA Tourbook)the place does not serve breakfast.

We made our reservations at the Anne Starrett for a romantic getaway. When we called to make a reservation, we ...

  • The Best Boutique Hotel in the Northwest
    By Charles, 04/20/04
I loved it. The rooms were fabulous. The innkeeper was always very attentive and the converstations we had in the dining room were incredible. Great people. The city of Port Townsend was incredible. Small, quaint...simple. A true gem.

  • Cancelled my reservation.
    By John, 04/03/04
I made a reservation months ago for Memorial Day weekend (2004) in this mansion. But yesterday (4/2), they called to say they'd overbooked and were cancelling us. When I asked why they couldn't cancel someone else, the woman said the other party had rented the whole house. So, instead of telling THAT caller the truth - that the whole house ...
