Just got back and have to say this is one beautiful hotel. Rooms were clean, the Krungthep wing is amazing and the complementary breakfast each morning was delicious. We were not affected by any construction. The spa is also beautiful. The river view was amazing and the hotel is very centralized. If you want to save money, stay somewhere else as this is a first-class hotel and amenities are not cheap but compared to U.S prices well worth it.

We sure wont be spending this years holiday near PADS RIOT stages.

I liked the service, everyone seemed very polite and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable, with all the amenitiies expected in a good hotel. I especially liked the mini bar provided and the comfort of the beds. The linen was spotless and appreciated the complimentary fruits. Breakfast was sumptous with lots of variety.

The Shangri La hotels in general are the best I've tried all in Singapore, Bangkok and Malaysia there are the best of the best. Service are excellent, rooms are great and always clean, I enjoyed staying at Bangkok Shangri La Hotel. I might come back to visit you on the 25th of October 2007. :-)

Restaurant-service and foods not up to standfard of Shangri La.

Even with advance reservations got buried in a corner. Service was poor and food not of the quality expected. Same for three meals. But fortunately plenty good places to eat in close proximity.

Complaint to Mgmt got no response and we are Golden Circle members for years.

We (family) have stayed here couple of times during our visit over the years to Bangkok. Never hand any negative experiences. Nice location, eccelent service… what else you need?
I go there quite often for busines and the place always
meets my expectations, no surprises, just so close to perfection.

This is the place to be when in Bangkok!
