The Hotel is centrally located but there are lots of outdated things at the hotel including heating system. We went there in 23rd Dec and the heating was not working properly so we had to have three blankets to sleep. this was a terrible place!!!the location was great but the room was very hot and the air conditioning didn't work!!! that night was very uncomfortable, especially when my 18 yr old sister crawled in bed with me b/c she was scared! We were woken up in the morning by the butler sticking his head in.i would NEVER go back there.

Thankfully we only spent one night at the Porta Rossa, but it was by far the worst night of the entire vacation. This hotel was the dirtiest hotel I have ever experienced. Absolutely disgusting... a bandaid stuck to the very old daggy bedspread... YUK! Rude staff, didn't care less about our complaints. Continental breakfast was awful... we ate out. Good location, but that was about it.
