The Garden STate Motor Lodge has come a longggg way! The rooms are in better condition and you actually can smell the cleanliness once you walk in the rooms. They have theme rooms now which are extremely nice. The sheets and towels are softer than before and I always see the housekeepers cleaning the rooms. I have to give props where props are due... Great Job Garden State.. keep up the good work.

I would refer others if a short stay is what you are looking for. If someone is on foot they can just walk up in there though. The locks on the door need to be updated. But if you are just looking for a short stay they have rooms that start at $30 on up depending on your needs. Overnight is not an option at this place for me. Overall, it just depends on what your needs are and what you prefer.

I think this hotel mainly exists for short stays; I really can't see why anyone would choose to actually SLEEP here. The rooms are dumpy and run-down, but clean enough not to be gross. I never saw bugs or actual dirt, but there are many stains and cigarette burns.

it's a dump! cheap short stay if you are into that sort of thing. I wouldn't stay there overnight. The bathrooms are small and run down, as are most of the rooms.
