First time in Yellowstone, first time in Gardiner and this hotel. The town is very small, consisting of motels, bars and restaurants primarily. VERY small. Located just outside the North gate is the best I can say about this Inn. The decor is disgusting offensive photos of dead hunted animals and mounts of the very animals that you come to see alive in the park. Not in keeping with a national chain hotel. Front desk unattended the entire stay.

This hotel is convenient and does provide a restaurant which is handy. The food is ok, small selection... The staff is helpful, but having stayed there twice, I prefer the Absaroka Lodge just down the street.

The Comfort Inn is neither fancy nor cozy, but it has large rooms and is clean. Perfectly okay place if you are just looking for a place to spend the night while visiting Yellowstone. It is kind of pricey for its class but that seems to be the norm for that location, right by the North entrance of the park. A nice plus is that they have a nice ...
