Not a whole ton to say about the Nugget in Laughlin - yeah, in 1992 it was quite the place, now it is relatively clean (although mold was found in our coffee maker), decent food, nice enough staff, but nothing special. That is the perfect was to describe this place "nothing special". I will say it is not the worst place in Laughlin and the prices are very reasonable.
in 2004 my husband and I decided to do something different for Thanksgiving and since has become a tradition to go Laughlin for this holiday. Every year we try a different hotel, and we always went to Golden Nugget to gamble and eat. We always though, how wonderful to stay here, the entrance is beutiful and very clean. Well, for Thanksgiving 2008 ...

Hotel Staff Assistance
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/04/08
Everyone has a travel experience to relate. During our stay at The Golden Nugget Hotel we had a medical emergency that would have been critical if not for the security and front desk staff.
Our family members want to thank you and your staff for the training, their assistance, the follow-up care and comfort we experienced. Special thanks go ...
We loved the pool in the mornings! It was so peaceful, quite & Beautiful....We have stayed at 2 other places in Laughlin....They don't compare to the GOLDEN NUGGET.
We love visiting Laughlin, it's what we call a mini Vegas, to get the whole experience you have to stay at the Golden Nuggett, they have it all, We highly reccomend this hotel and Enjoy Laughlin

Will deffinately return to the Golden Nugget
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/14/07
Went to the Golden Nugget for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Arrived early and were very pleased that there was a room ready for us. The employee at check in was very friendly and gave us a room with the view of the courtyard. Didn't get to enjoy the Riverwalk as it was very windy and cold. Went to several other casino's to try our luck but ...

Roulette Table is Awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/06/07
The experince was horable, if you like roulette. I would not adivse it there!!! you are treated like childen,DO NOT LAUGH, HAVE FUN, HOOT or CUSS a little cause they will call the Pick boss on you and try to get you kicked off the table! The dealers have the personality, of a dead wet Rat!!! They wonder why they don't get any tips!!!! I have ...
I was out in Laughlin for business the end of July...we thought the GN was perfect for us because it was a smaller hotel that was quiet with clean, updated rooms. My co-worker stayed at the River Palms which had a nicer casino but the rooms were cheesy. Plus, the Salt Grass Steakhouse in the GN is really good with nice views of the river. Get a river view room if you stay here...it's worth the money.
Rooms are the cleanest and the people are the best. The casino is super, the kids loved the its water fall and jungle area.
The pool has palm trees along the river. The price is a steal!!

no customer service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/07
I've been trying to call GN with a billing question and was put on hold for 15 minutes. Finally hung up, called back, transfered to the manager, who of course was not there. If you reserve a room in advance you will be immediately billed for one night. Staff at front desk seems pretty lifeless. OK room. No customer service.
