The hotel was nice and the room was clean. Looked like a nice pool area even though the weather wasn't warm enough to enjoy it. Ate the nachos at Tarzan's late at night twice, yummy! Also, ate at the deli. The sandwiches there are huge and good! Staff was friendly. Would definitely stay there again. The only complaint I have is there are ...

It's the Golden Nugget
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/05
I was introduced to Las Vegas and stayed at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. I liked being in Downtown Vegas. It just felt a bit far from the strip. I did learn that I would rather stay more centrally located on the strip due to walking to the bus station to catch a ride.
We loved the atrium and water features so close to the casino and restaurants. Our room was comfy and very clean but we could hear stomping feet above us. We visited on a Monday and Tuesday and they were in the process of changing management. We had an awesome lobster feast at the Deck right on the River restuarant under the misting system with ...
i really appreciated the RV parking across the street.the jungle atmosphere was comforting to me.i did not stay in the hotel nor do I gamble...but i love the buffet.the waitstaff and management are excellent. I like the high ceilings and the view from the buffet.it is my primary brunch/evening place to eat,but it depends on each person's palate. the stuffed portobello mushrooms were great last new years...
A truly warm and welcome place to be. A grand place to relax in a very frienly and cozy setting. The River Cafe is truly a home cooked meal away from home with the friendliest and most considerate waitpeople. We look forward to each and every visit and drive 1200 miles many times a year to surround ourselves with Golden Nugget's hospitality.

Planning a return trip soon!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/05
Our room was comfortable and the service was friendly and very helpful. The quality of our room contributed a lot to our stay and was part of the influence for us to return to Laughlin and stay in the same hotel.
