This is my FIRST negative review! We visited Yellowstone and there were wildfires in the park that totally changed our plans. Two of the major roads were closed and we could not get anythere close to the northern areas. The lady at the front desk was TOTALLY unsympathetic. First of all, she had to be woken up by the restaurant staff, at the ...
Pros: Nice staff, clean rooms, great location, off the beaten path. We loved the old log cabin feel of the place. Easy and scenic drive to both parks. Had breakfast there and it was very good for a fair price.
Cons: Out in the middle of no where. If you need something you will be driving for it(They do have a few things in the office). 6 channels on the TV. Jay Welther
Located near Grand Teton and Yellowstone the Hatchet was a great spot to base our national park trip. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The front desk staff had great ideas on where to go and see wildlife as well as activities. We were there early in the season and unfortunatly the restaurant wasn't open yet. I woud highly recomment the Hatchet Resort.
Pros: Location between Jackson Hole and Yellowstone/Grand Tetons, Very good restaurant that serves all meals, nice people
Cons: Would not recommend suite (No room to move for more than 2 people), Sulfur smell throughout, eerie feel at night, hot tub was broken during my visit, Wi/Fi was knocked out by a storm, TV only gets 5-6 channels (I missed ...
My husband & I visited The Grand Tetons National Park & booked a one-night stay at The Hatchet Resort in July 2007. The resort is about six miles east of The Grand Tetons (in the middle of nowhere), but that was okay with us because we were leaving for Cheyenne, WY the next morning. The middle-aged woman at the front desk was indifferent ...
We spent our 2005 summer vacation at the Hatchet resort. we were very pleased. The facility was clean and maintained, the restaurant offered good food, the staff was friendly.
We planned a July 2005 wedding at the Hatchet Resort in Moran, Wyoming. Being originally from Wyoming I had knowledge on the Jackson area. The Hatchet was perfect for privacy, and our guests accomadations along with our own suite. The grounds are amazing and very rustic yet modern buildings cover the grounds. With great food, helpful staff, the ...
The view of the Tetons from the resort is breathtaking! Located just outside Grand Teton National Park away from the crowds but with easy access to both parks. Rooms are historic log construction. Neat and tidy. Restaurant and fine dining are better than anything inside the park.
