We stayed there in November for 4 days. The staff were so friendly. Our room was clean and cozy. We are staying there again next week and are taking our two bichons along. The staff welcomes pets at no extra charge! It is great to have a restaurant next door as well. Unless you want to pay alot for your room I believe this is a great deal!
We agree with a previous comment regarding how this hotel had a "European Flair". There was a sign in the lobby saying that they were no longer going to have smoking rooms. Our 9 year old love the two bed concept as our room was really a two bedROOM concept; she had her own room with a television, closet, sink, A/C unit, and large comfy ...
I chose the Downtown Days Inn after reading some of the reviews stating it had been upgraded and had improved. I booked via the internet for 4 days for a nonsmoking room. Upon arrival, it was dingy, dark and not clean. My room on the 5th floor reeked of smoke, had an ashtray on the desk and burn holes and a dead bug on the carpet. When I went to ...
I was here in 2006 of jan this was a nice hotel the only thing that needed work was the elevator and our bathroom wall needed work on because there was a hole in it but other than that great staff and great coffee

Cons-I got shocked when I plugged in the TV. There is a window right in front of the shower, so make sure to close the blinds. In another room I seen there was a chair that was about to brake. My chair had stains all over it. There were no tables in my room. The ice bucket and cups were sitting behind the TV. When you take a shower, you are most ...

NASTY PLACE!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/05
I was forced to stay there because I got into town late and everything else downtown was closed up tight for the night. The Day's Inn lobby looked ok so I thought it would be ok. The rickity old elevator took us up to our tiny, dirty, nasty little room that we paid over 50 bucks for. Needless to say I only stayed one night and will NEVER BE BACK!!! NASTY!!!

The location of this motel is excellent....close to Methodist Hospital and Mayo Clinic. The accommodations left alot to be desired though. Sheets were badly worn and stained. The under side of the bedspread was badly stained. I rquested to have the bedding changed and management complied. But I never slept under the covers in the six days of my ...

European Style Flair
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/04
This Days Inn was close to the Mayo Clinic and downtown Rochester. The rooms had a European style flair, small and quaint but comfortable. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very inn-like, particularly for being part of a chain. Affordable room rates added to the experience.
