The customer service was appalling!! For a place whose claim to fame is having a cozy fireplace in every unit, you would think that they would keep their firewood supply well-stocked and their fireplaces well-maintained and safe. Not the case!! All of their wood was green and was virtually unburnable. Not to mention the fact that while we were ...
I've been to Bluefin many times. It is THE place to stay on the North Shore. The only negative is that it's expensive. I've stayed in many different units and liked them all.
Great outdoor pool and spa. Restaurant on site - rare for North Shore resorts. It has interesting menu with some decent options for kids. Great amenities - biking, canoes, kayaks, s'mores.
I have been going to Bluefin for the last 16 years. We go every year for a week. The location is perfect. Staff is helpful. We stay in a One Bedroom. There are many different style rooms to choose from. Studios to 3 bedroom rooms. In the One bedroom you have a fireplace in the living room, dining room table, full stocked kitchen with every thing ...
Bluefin Bay is the best. I have been going there ever since I was a child, with my family. I am going back in November with my boyfriend. It's a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place to take your mind off of everything. 5 Stars!
We travel to the area frequently and had eaten there and enjoyed the view. However, our stay was not so nice. They tried to switch us into a type of room we had not reserved and did not want. THe heat was on and could not be turned off so the rooms were about 95 degrees inside. We finally got the layout of room we had reserved but it was not ...
We enjoyed being so close to Lake Superior. It's just a tranquil experience that keeps us coming back year after year. We have seen a decline in the reataurant...food just wasn't as good as past years. Hope that changes because it's always was a treat to eat there.
This is the best. Like having your own apartment/cabin right on the lake complete with the handy pools, spa, coffee, movies, restaurants (excellent), internet, and assistance in planning your activities. We have gone to the North Shore annually for 30 plus years and find this the best. It is so centrally located for numerous hikes as well as to Grand Marais. I urge anyone thinking about it to go for it and see if you don't love it too.
For starters, I love the relatively remote locale on the Superior shoreline. The lake is at its best from this point northward. They did pick a great spot to build this resort.
I have been to Bluefin with my wife four times. It's a great place to unwind a little and relax, but there are some shortcomings. First is the price...one of the ...
