We had over 75 people of all ages stay for 3 nights for a family reunion. The layout and facilities were perfect for gathering and visiting . The teens and young children in our group loved the pools & the outdoor movie that was shown at night on the grounds. The owner made a bomb fire for our group every night and we used, a screened-in ...
I attended a motorcycle event at the Valley View. The grounds were spotless, the rooms clean and roomy, and the several meeting areas met our needs for meetings and meals. There were a few problems with the air conditioning and hot water in some of the rooms, but these were addressed promptly by the owner. Bugs were never a factor, and honestly ...

Who ever designed this website for this place deserves a huge award. The pictures are really of this place but, maybe 10 yrs ago when it was CLEAN and NEW. The place hasn't seen a landscaper and a good cleaning in a very long time. The room we stayed in was # 12..It was OK at best. We paid $270 for 2 nights. It had new furniture but the bath ...
Our family of five stayed at the Valley View Lodge April 5-11 2008. We stayed in a suite near the pool, our room was clean & ideal for a family! The staff was great, the grounds were beautiful! The price was very fair. We had a great time and we would definately stay there again! Bill & Lea Anne Bigelow Michigan

We loved it!

We rented a nice sized suite with a fireplace & Jacuzzi - mini-fridge & microwave as well for around $100 in the peak of the autumn season of 2004. The landscaping was beautiful & the sunrise view from the breakfast area was breath-taking. I am planning a return trip in a couple of weeks!
We stayed in a Family Suite. For a family of 5 the size of the room is great. The room was clean but had a strange smell (stale like smell).
The staff was nice. The room was cleaned daily in a timely manner.
The motel is in a great location. It is quiet and the grounds are nice. Our room was on the back of the property so we heard ...

Bad experience at hotel.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/07
We liked the location of the hotel. They advertized that they had microwaves and refrigerators in each room, we found neither one, we called down to the office and were told that unfortunately they had not come in on time to be put in the room (could not refrigerate or cook the food we brought. This NEW ROOM had an old bathroom,it had dirt ground ...
This was our first trip to Tennessee and stopped in Townsend to spend time there and take in the sites. We arrived at the hotel a little before check-in, and was told to come back after 3pm because the room was not ready. That was ok with us, but upon returning, the business next door took all the guest parking, and there was no place close to ...

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/07
I was very upset with the lack of cleanliness in this motel, which had been highly reviewed. I finally left my room to sleep off site late in the night because the "bed bugs" were literally biting. Several of the electric outlets did not work, lights were out, smell was horrific, and the commode did not shut off. Couple this with the ...
