We booked 2 nights for a standard room with a king bed at Tropical Breeze Resort. We were checked in to our room and had 2 double beds and a kitchenette. We ended up sleeping in separate beds because double beds just aren't big enough. I didn't know there were smoking & non-smoking rooms, but we could smell the cigarette smoke coming ...

I was there a couple of nights, Staff was very friendly, was quiet, prices were ok. And near to the Beach, which make a short stay even better.
i liked that place.

The staff was excellent: Pleasent and friendly! Our unit was great, just 30yds from the beach with great views of the sunset and they recently remodeled the kichen and are doing the same to other units around us. Internet usage here was free for guests which made life easier! Close to the village shops and restaurants and only a short drive to Sarasota!
We will be back for sure!

BUT...
Cleaning was as good as it could be given the poor maintenance of the building...poor air conditioning, ripped screens, cracked windows, room door locks not working properly, broken safe deposit in room. Guest/staff laundry room that was just filthy!

I had a really bad experience of this place.
The rooms were not cleaned all of the time I stayed there, although I did receive clean towels.

I think there are much better value and cleaner places to stay in the area.

my family and I stayed in oct 2005 we had a great time and met some great people from canada ireland and the states. the rooms are extremaly clean and comfortable. the fishing dock is excellant i caught my first fish on it on my first attempt ( a blow fish!) the location is in the hub of everything but quiete enough at night.Hope the condo people dont push them out.

We stayed at Tropical Breeze on our way home from Siesta Key back to Orlando. It is a very family oriented hotel. While we were unloading the car, my 2 year old tripped and fell cutting her lip. it has a nice location, it has a very nice beach, it has a nice pool, you can fish and grill your fish on the dock or play shuffle board

This place was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and well kept. Props to the maintenance staff and also the employees behind the front desk. Every employee I talked to answered all my questions about Siesta Key. Everyone I saw working always had a smile on their face. My family had a spectacular time.
