Not a Business friendly hotel!..Extra charges for internet service and the location is a terrible commute (don't drive in Nairobi). It would take me 45 minutes to 1 hour to go 4 miles in rush hour traffic. Rooms were worn but clean (6th floor). Location is down town with a warning not to be on the streets at night, no real grounds to relax in ...
I love the Hilton, the service was friendly yet not familiar...They have a bar with quaint photos, an area where there are just two chairs facing each other and a nice small table overlooking one of the busiest streets in Nairobi...there is piano music with players belting out Kenyan tunes...once in a while they have a live band which I adore...yes I have spent many a memorable evening at the Hilton adn I've always loved the experience..

Nice old hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/05
Old hotel, well kept and very presentable. Guest rooms need upgrading. Seems like it was exactly the same as when I stayed there in the early 90's. Traveller's Resturant menu is good and food nicely prepared. Resturant service was average to SLOW. Front Desk Staff are prompt, courteous and very helpful. They made the stay enjoyable overall. I'll stay there the next time I am in Nairobi.
