    We didn't pay extra for the bay view but we loved our room (small by US standards, but good sized by European standards). The staff was wonderful, and the breakfasts were the best we had during our trip to N. Europe, St Petersburg and London. You will not beat this location...so don't even think about another hotel if you want to stay on Gamla Stan!

  • Perfect spot, beautiful hotel, genuinely nice and helpful staff

    Well, I think the title said it all. I'd read in other forums of some people's deep disappointment at getting an alley view, and so I bit the bullet (as in paying extra for an ocean view in Hawaii) and made sure to get a water view. It was heaven, could not be better. I have photos of friends at my window, tall ships behind, and as the sun ...
