As has been said repeatedly, the location could not be better. Not only are most attractions nearby, but the Basilica of St. Peter in Chains with Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses is directly across the street. We just returned from a one week stay in Rome. The Hotel Palatino was great. The rooms were clean and the service was great. We really enjoyed relaxing in the bar area in the afternoonand having a lite lunch there.

We just returned from Italy and stayed here our first 3 days. It is a hike from the train station, so take a taxi. We were able to walk everywhere except the Vatican from here. The staff was very helpful and and the rooms were spotless. It is so centrally located we could walk everywhere! Great start to our trip!
