Stayed at the Albani as part of a Globus tour. Our flight was early but we were accomodated by 10 a.m. Breakfast was good although watch out for the eggs which were definitely not "American Style'. Rooms were very clean and spacious. There is a great restaurant not far from the hotel, Casa Mia about three blocks away. Except for the location, this was a great hotel for Rome.

Won't go back

This was our first time in Rome and were staying here before departing on a cruise ship. We got one shot at seeing Rome, and were put here by Carnival. The hotel was very nice, however, the big down side is the location! It is just too far from everything if a person only has 1 1/2 days, and have no idea where to go or how to get around. We were ...

Nice but a long walk
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/04/08
The lobby was spacious and attractive. The room was larger than the others in which we stayed in Italy. Overall the place was newer than most. The breakfast buffet was good. The neighborhood is very nice but it is far from tourist sites. It is at least a mile walk to the Spanish steps.

will definitely stay here again

Found the place to be very upscale and well done. Rooms were very nice, clean, and spacious.Met many people on our travels that had their travel agent find them a hotel and they were very unhappy with what they got.We researched hotels ourselves and selected this one. We were very happy with this hotel and will go back again without hesitation. Best bang for the buck and close to many things.Cannot say enough nice things about the hotel.

I thought the rooms were extremely clean. every room is different. Food and bar were Great. thought the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Need to take a taxi to most sites, not far, just too far to walk.Overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Thumbs Up for Albani Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/07
We really enjoyed our stay at the Albani last November. I especially loved the decor - very 60's look with bright colors. Our room was very spacious, pretty and clean. The lobby and lobby bar were very comfortable. We found the staff very helpful and the hot breakfast every morning was very good.

OK, but better deals elsewhere.
By Franjo L, 08/03/06
The hotel wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't worth $250 a pop. There is nothing that really stands out about the hotel. The color scheme was cool and the hotel is in a decent location, it's about a 10 minute walk to the Spanish steps and all the big name boutiques like Armani, Versace, etc. Plus, the train station is nearby. The hotel is definitely not a four star caliber hotel so you can get similar quality for less elsewhere.

Good Hotel/Reasonable Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/03/06
We loved this sort of "ultra-mod" pink and green "James Bond" 60's decor. Spacious and clean. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Great service. Friendly, professional staff. I have stayed in far less charming hotels for $150.00 a night in the United States. OK breakfast. Ask the morning breakfast staff for a cappucino as it's better than the regular coffee.
