Service was always with a smile, which made you feel right at home, the receptionist staff gave us a free upgrade to one of their executive rooms. Turn down service was the best I've had, it beats The Manoir! It's right in the city centre of Oxford, so the location was perfect. A lot of alternative choices for food around, though you ...

Wonderful! Greatest Hotel!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/24/07
The Randolph is one of the best hotels I have ever been to. All of the staff is friendly, and don't mind to start a conversation with you, but they still don't get off task. They are always eager to assist you, and never start acting impatient. The bar/restaurant is very cozy, and very luxurious. The food is prepared quickly, but tastes ...

Pure English Classic
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/07
This hotel is steeped in History from 1880 where the Amature Athletics Association of England was founded to the not so distant past of the great Inspector Morse. Often frequented by cast and crew of the now spin off Lewis. Food and service is second to none and this hotel quite readily deserves its Five Star rating. This is what a Hotel should be.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/07
Unhelpfull reception on arrival. Had an executive room ,needed sat nav and hiking boots to get to it. A LA CART dinner mediocre and Very expensive . Did not compare well with other 4 star hotels,3 stars would be more like it . Position was perfect for exploring Oxford . Room large , clean ,comfortable

severe shortcomings
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/05/05
- no heating installed in new room - electric heating device did not work - long discussions with italian-speaking rommservice to replace it - second day: no cold water in bathroom - third day: unrequired wake up call on a weekend morning - breakfast overpriced - dinner of poor quality at high price - will not return, even if location is good (downtown Oxford)

dreadful service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/17/05
The Oxford is the epitomy of bad organisation, and ridiculously slow service. The people who are meant to be working there seem to avoid just doing that by ignoring the guests where ever possible. Breakfast is simply overpriced and with no "green tea" anywhere in the house is another sign of bad organisation. The reception desk was ...
