The grounds and hotel are beautiful, the staff are attentive, helpful, and gracious. The food was great. I left a sweater that I had cleaned and they mailed it to me before I even knew it was missing. The rooms are individual and the best of French decorating. I recommend a garden room with a balcony for a beautiful and romantic trip.

Ruined my shirts
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/20/07
Although my wife and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at the hotel in August 2007, the hotel laundry ruined four of my polo shirts that now have stain or ink marks all over them. These shirts cost a total of $300. I brought this issue to their immediate attention and sent them digital photos of the shirts. When sent them the photos later in August, they ...

Fading elegance

On the plus side, quiet, absolutely beautiful gardens and easy parking. On the negative, rooms are very small, staff services are very poor and the pool must be accessed by going through the dining room! We just stayed there in May of 2007 and probably wouldn't go back mainly because of service.

Lost in Provence

Classic hotel that is probably due a spruce up but is nevertheless excellent. Seems to be the smell of cigarette smoke in the rooms, but that is just France really. It is not particularly central to the old town, the only interesting part of Aix, being an uninspiring 15-minute walk.

Two Thumbs Up!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/21/05
We stayed here September 2002 - the hotel was beautiful and charming. Staff was friendly, parking easy, breakfast delicious. The hotel grounds were beautiful and nice to walk around. Hotel not in the center of Aix but about a 10-15 minute walk so not too bad. Price back then (when the dollar to euro was reasonable) was excellent. I would definitely stay there again!
Stayed in the hotel for two nights in 2003. It was a great relaxing stay. Location was walking distance from everything we wanted to do in Aix. It was a little pricey for our limited budget tour, but the "splurge" was worth the relaxation during our hectic travel plans. The room was immaculate and roomy, complemented by a great bathroom and super-comfortable bed.
