This is a wonderful hotel -- professional, warm and friendly staff -- terrific service and fabulous cuisine. My husband and I just returned from our stay last week and we're already planning our next visit which will definitely include another stay at the Lion d'Or!!
My husband and I found the Lion d'Or to be quite charming and lovely. We enjoyed looking at the photos of all the important people (Eisenhower, the Kennedys, Tom Hanks, etc.) who have stayed here. Outstanding restaurant! Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and pleasant. No elevator is only negative.
I had dinner at Le Lion d'Or several years ago. I had been looking forward to it for months, having read the history of the establishment. (Apparently it was Eisenhower's favorite restaurant in the area.)
